Frightening Fear Strixat

These Creatures often leave their place of formation to follow other sources of energy, if they are unsuccessful in sustaining themselves naturally they can become Fear Strixat.

This is where most of the species get a bad reputation, due to fear Strixat being more commonly encountered than their passive relatives, rather than collecting energy that has been shed they find ways to leech it out of mortal beings.

This energy stealing is done by scaring mortals; moving objects well unseen, manipulating lights, mimicking sounds and showing themselves to startle humans to invoke a good scream! Less malevolent individuals may prefer a life of trickery by using their abilities to create mystery and wonder.

These Strixat often communicate by telepathic speech or through mimicking words and phrases.

Fear Strixat often make themselves unsettling to humans on purpose, relying on terrifying looks and sounds to maximize discomfort so they can consume the energy because of this they often have multiple ears, large teeth, an overall unkempt or mangey look and they can have up to 3 eyes.
